Misty Hollow Extreme Adventures Summer Camp
ADVENTURE WITH US THIS SUMMER IN THE BEAUTIFUL CANYONS, FORESTS, AND RIVERS OF ALABAMA. LOCATED IN THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AREA, BORDERING WILLIAM BANKHEAD NATIONAL FOREST. 2009 SESSIONS ADVENTURE CAMP SESSIONS: Sleep Over Camps - Hiking, Mountain Biking, ATV’s, Rock Climbing Caving, Kayaking, & Team Exercises, Survival Training, Swimming, Shelter/Fort Building, Crafts/Arts, Camp Fire Cook Outs, & Nightly Fire Side Reflection & Marshmallow Roasts. Day Camp for ages 5– 12 click for dates & rates Games, Arts & Crafts, Swimming, Water Slide, Rock Wall, Sports Activities, Optional ATV or GO-Carts Mini Camp ages 7-14 click for dates & rates 4 Days 3 Nights - Camp designed for the first time campers who just want to try out the basics of camp life. All activities will be held at base camp Misty Hollow, with no off site adventure trips. Campers will get to learn the basics and fundamentals in Hiking, Biking, Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Swimming, & Crafts/Arts, Team Exercises, and Fort Building. EXPLORERS' CAMP ages 9-14 click for dates & rates Focuses more on the introduction of all our adventure activities and the Accomplishment of the activities placed before them in true camp spirit. Each camper will build a tremendous support group and learn what it means to have confidence in themselves and their choices among their peers. There will be adventure trips away from Base Camp through the week which will include, a Flat Water Kayak Expedition, with an overnight adventure trip in the beautiful Sipsey Wilderness. ADVENTURERS' CAMP ages 12-16click for dates & rates Get into high gear in the outdoors, this camp is more action packed for the older crowd and for the youngsters who have adventure in their veins. There is a more intense focus on Wilderness Survival Skills, Shelter Building, Mapping & GPS Coordinates. Campers will get their skills polished off at Base Camp Misty Hollow, then hit the road to put those skills into action. Overnight multi-activity trips to the Sipsey Wilderness/Bankhead National Forrest are planned. Hike, & Kayak, your way to a preplanned destination. Then to top things off we will be taking a WHITE WATER RAFTING TRIP in Tennessee. All trips are included in Session Fees. ENDURANCE EXPEDITION ages 14-17click for dates & rates Get your fill of the outdoors in Alabama. Take 2-3 day excursions with multi sport agendas. This is an extreme wilderness adventure that will challenge your mind, body and spirit. Hike, Kayak, & Bike your way to a preplanned destination, use your skills learned at Base Camp to get you there and SURVIVE. Wilderness Rescue & first aid skills will be introduced as well. We will even offer your camper a chance to get their First Aid Certification(extra $). Then to top things off we will be taking a WHITE WATER RAFTING TRIP into Tennessee. This is the ultimate wilderness adventure, in a safe atmosphere. Travel Alabama and Tennessee. NEW FAMILY CAMP "GROWIN' TOGETHER" click for dates & rates Why should the kids have all the fun? No Age Requirements. This camp is designed for parents and children to experience the fun of being at camp. Family based activities will be at Base Camp Misty Hollow and will challenge the youthfulness of parents and kids alike. Truly an experience not soon forgotten.
