We are planning a great summer of events and are looking forward to seeing our last years campers return for more fun. Our camp is an experience of a life time, and I don't say experience lightly. Everything we do here is completely interactive. We have a motto here it goes: "Tell me and I will forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I will understand." Every child gets experience by training in and doing Rock Climbing, Kayaking (in a controlled environment for the younger kids), Backpacking, Tracking & Mapping, Camping & Shelter Building, Wilderness Explorations, & we even have an Animal Adventure Segment where each child gets an animal and learns handling skills, husbandry (care of) their animal. We have a wide variety of animals here at Misty Hollow: Buffalo, Horses, Miniature Horses, Goats, African sheep, Llama, and Miniature Donkey. The kids really love all of these things, but most of all they love achieving something that was out of their ordinary & comfort zones. Every person has extraordinary things inside them and; sometimes it takes out of the ordinary experiences to find them. No, it's not just about learning and doing, but having fun too! If you like fun,we have ATV trails, Paint Ball Tournaments, Swimming, A Water Slide, and Geo-Tracking just to name a few. It's hard to fit it all in to just one week. Not only do you get to have fun in experiencing some of the greatest outdoor achievements, you get to make life long friendships, and learn things you can take with you forever.
